Samuel L. Jackson Praises Emilia Clarke's Performance in Marvel's Secret Invasion

Emilia Clarke's Performance in Marvel's Secret Invasion Praised By Samuel L. Jackson

Unlike Marvel's other recent projects, like Spider-Man: No Way Home, the appropriately named Secret Invasion show is, well, very much a secret. Even as pictures of costumed actors, set videos, and looks at wardrobe warehouses spill out, nothing meaningful has been established about this limited series.

It is rumored that Clarke is playing the antagonist in the show named Veranke, the Queen of Skrulls.

Even as the series itself is largely a mystery, recent comments have shed light on the on-set experience, including the relationships between actors.

In a recent live talk with Josh Horowitz, actor Samuel L. Jackson, who plays Nick Fury in the MCU, spoke to his experience acting alongside his Secret Invasion co-stars, including Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, Ben Mendelsohn, and Martin Freeman. Jackson had nothing but praise for Clarke, calling her "a Fairy."

"Emilia, amazing. It’s like, c’mon man, you walk on the set and you go, 'Okay, that’s the Queen of Dragons.' She's so tiny. She's like a fairy, you want to hold her!"

Given Jackson's praise for Clarke, Colman, Ben Mendelsohn, and even Martin Freeman, it seems that the Secret Invasion filming experience has been mainly pleasurable. It seems logical that Jackson would appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with such critically regarded performers as the MCU continues to expand its list of great actors thanks to the series.

Additionally, it appears that viewers may anticipate seeing Nick Fury spend a lot of time with Clarke and Colman. Whether something is done in a positive or negative way.

Secret Invasion is a six-episode series from Marvel Studios as a part of the main MCU Phase 4 and is likely to release in early 2023 on Disney+.
