House of the Dragon may be considered best among the viewers, but there is someone who isn't tuning in. The Mother of Dragons, the Khaleesi herself, Emilia Clarke, is unable to watch the HBO series.
House of the Dragon happens to be a huge success for HBO. The House of the Dragon premiere holds the record of HBO's highest-viewed debut ever. It was renewed for a second season soon after its premiere. It's been snatching up nominations and recently won Best Drama Series at the Golden Globes. Fans loved it and their response has been overwhelmingly positive, with many viewing the series in hope of getting an experience similar to Game of Thrones.
Ironically, though Clarke has not seen House of the Dragon, Rhaenyra and Daenerys are very similar. Rhaenyra ( played by Milly Alcock, then Emma D'Arcy) is a dragon to her core just like Daenerys, and she tries to rise as Queen in a male-dominated world as the whole world's against her.
The two characters are mirrors to each another, though they aren't perfect reflections. Rhaenyra has Daemon (Matt Smith) and her family while Daenerys is completely alone in the world full of enemies.
Clarke has also recently expressed that she wanted a different ending for Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones season. She fell into madness in the last season and killed the citizens of King's Landing and earned the name "The Mad Queen" and met her end by Jon Snow. Majority of fans found this to be an unsatissfied ending as it was a sudden shift in the character that wasn't developed properly. Clarke did not criticise the ending, but she did say she wanted a happier ending for Daenerys as she went through a lot.
