Sophie Turner and Kit Harington, who starred together in all eight seasons of HBO's wildly successful fantasy series Game of Thrones, are getting back together for The Dreadful, a Gothic horror movie that opens in theaters this Friday through UTA Independent Film Group and Film Bridge International.

The War of the Roses serves as the setting for this picture, which is written and will be directed by Natasha Kermani (Lucky, V/H/S/85).

It centers on Anne (Turner) and her mother-in-law Morwen, who lead a lonely and difficult life on the periphery of society.

However, the return of a guy (Harington) from their past will start a chain of events that will ultimately mark Anne's turning point.

In addition to Turner, the film's producers are Lucas Jarach, Patrick Muldoon and Patrick Hibler of Storyboard Media, and Luke Daniels of Redwire Pictures/Tunnel.

Producing under the Black Magic label is Greg Lauritano as well. UTA Independent Film Group is in charge of domestic sales, while Film Bridge International handles international sales.

Turner portrayed Sansa Stark on HBO's Game of Thrones, which is based on a series of fantasy books by George R. R. Martin.

Harington portrayed Jon Snow of the Night's Watch. In addition to other honors, both received Emmy nominations for their work.

Turner has recently been involved in a number of projects, including the murder drama The Staircase by Max and the Netflix series Do Revenge.

In contrast, Harington starred in Marvel's Eternals and Apple's Extrapolations.

In addition to directing segments on the anthology film, which debuted on Shudder last autumn, Kermani has directed Lucky, a horror drama from SXSW, Imitation Girl, a sci-fi drama, and the thriller Shattered.

Turner is represented by CAA and Independent Talent Group; Harington by UTA, United Agents, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman; Kermani by UTA, Persistent, and lawyer Marios Rush.
